Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Partnership
HOTH Conference
Police, social care leaders and safeguarding practitioners came together to strengthen their shared response to the harms faced by children. Organised by the GSCP and the Police, the conference featured leading national and local experts delivering talks, panels and interactive workshops. Topics ranged from child sexual exploitation and online harms to teenage domestic abuse, misogyny and group-based offending.
“As safeguarding partners, we pledge to protect children and young people across Gloucestershire by:
-
Tackling Child Sexual Abuse in all its forms, including online exploitation and emerging digital threats;
-
Responding to Harms Outside the Home, including missing children and adolescent domestic abuse;
-
Delivering proportionate, timely, and coordinated support.
Together, we commit to a joined-up approach that puts children’s safety and wellbeing first, addresses disproportionality, and amplifies the voice of every child.”

Assurance Declaration Portal Update
The EYFS Safeguarding Assurance Declaration has been redesigned to make safeguarding simpler and more practical for your setting. Developed with sector feedback and GSCP, it follows EYFS requirements with helpful prompts and can be completed in sections throughout the year. The new version is live, log in now to start and download any previous submissions (available for 12 months).
Rapid Review Snapshots
When a serious safeguarding incident occurs, GSCP carries out a Rapid Review to identify key learning. Although publication isn’t required under Working Together 2023, GSCP shares Rapid Review Snapshots to ensure learning reaches all partners.
Each snapshot distills the core findings and recommendations, helping teams across the system reflect, adapt, and improve practice.
